Win children’s books by entering the Rice Daddies book review contest

by Carmen Van Kerckhove

Congratulations to Rice Daddies, the group blog by Asian American dads, which turns 1 year old today! They’re celebrating with a children’s book review contest.

From now until Feb. 23, readers can submit (email to daddyinastrangeland@mac.com) reviews of their favorite children’s books from their own childhood that they want to share with their own kids. Submissions will be posted on the website as they come in, and winners will be drawn at random. Winners will be announced on Monday, Feb. 26. Multiple submissions are welcome, but each reviewer will only be put in the drawing once.

Prizes include an awesome assortment of children’s books from Asian countries (in translation) from Kane/Miller, which specializes in bringing the best of international children’s literature to the U.S. You probably know them for such classics as Japanese author/illustrator Taro Gomi’s Everyone Poops, and they have titles from countries on every continent except Antarctica.
