It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another gratuitous cute kid pic!
Anti-Racist Parent Amy Fanning writes: “I have been reading the site for a few months, and look forward to every posting. I am a married white mother of a white daughter, and was most recently challenged by your “where are all the white anti-racist parents?” post… I am proud to be an anti-racist parent and am trying my best to raise her without some of the pitfalls I faced coming up. I was raised in an all-white suburban neighborhood and didn’t meet (and by meet I mean get to know, befriend, etc.) a black person until junior high school. As a young adult, I moved into Washington, DC and experienced complete culture shock. It was then that I realized how racist I was — full of fear and ignorance — and I have fought against that every day since. I appreciate sites like antiracist parent so I can learn about ways that I continue to contribute to the problem of racism.”
If you’d like to submit a pic to us, please email us at team@loveisntenough.com. Please include a caption we can use, and let us know what name (first name only or pseudonym is fine) we should use for you, the parent. Thanks!

She’s adorable – how old is she in this photo? was this the first Halloween that she understood what was going on?
