Election reaction open thread

It seems ridiculous to try to talk about anything else this morning. For the first time ever, the United States of America will be led by a self-identified black man–a biracial man with family ties that extend over three continents. I wanted to wake up this morning and write a brilliant post about what Obama’s election means to me and mine, but I can’t yet find the words. So, let’s use this space to share our thoughts on the election and talk about what it means for our children.

The little guy above is reader Marcella D’s Ismael whose canvassing paid off in a big way last night!
