New documentary on an interracial marriage and the legal case that overturned anti-miscegenation laws in 16 states

[Editor's note: The team at LIE received this email. I am passing along to you.]

I wanted to share a film with you that is coming to the Tribeca Film Festival in New York called The Loving Story.

The documentary is about Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who was arrested in the late 1950s and banished from their home of Virginia for simply being married.  The film follows their landmark Supreme court case that ultimately overturned anti-miscegenation laws across 16 states.

Beyond this being a critical piece of American history that often gets overlooked in our classrooms, the film includes rare photography and footage that shows the Loving family in their home and illustrates the quiet, but powerful love that flowed through the entire family.

Info for tickets and screenings at Tribeca can be found here: http://www.tribecafilm.com/filmguide/loving_story-film32002.html
