Cece McDonald’s trial begins today. At this moment I’m not feeling very hopeful about it all… From what I read here,

feeling depressed about the ability of a young transgender woman of color to get a fair trial… Doesn’t seem like justice is being done. I don’t mean that they young man “deserved” to die but more about why certain people get to claim self-defense almost without question and why other people don’t get to.
And how dangerous is it to be young, transgender & of color in my own community?
……. Mulling it all over in my head….
